Students likely to leave at the end of year 11 to continue their education through  college education, training providers, apprenticeships, traineeships, employment with training or other education. Students likely to leave at the end of year 12/13 to continue their education through  college education, training providers, apprenticeships, traineeships, employment with training or other education. Students likely to leave at the end of year 13 to continue their education at University.

Undertake careers education provided in House Focus, PSHE and Citizenship lessons.

 

Attend school based training provider sessions with Nova Training and others as planned.

 

Attend the school Stafford College visits to find out about construction and other courses.

 

Attend Work Experience Assemblies.

 

 

Undertake a work experience placement in Year 10 and possibly in Year 11 if necessary. Use the school website to access the Staffordshire Partnership Database of Work experience providers.

 

Create and use the Fast Tomato account provided through the school website and careers event.

 

Attend, with parents, the annual school Careers Event.

 

Use all information provided by ENTRUST at the annual Careers Event. Interview skills, CV writing, Letters of Application, Work Experience.

 

Complete the school careers questionnaire each year informing the school / Entrust careers advisor of any changes to career plans.

 

Attend careers interviews with Entrust careers advisor when scheduled.

 

Attend College open day/evening events to gain information about courses.

 

Regularly check on line and in local papers the type of opportunities available in the local area. The school website provides extensive information too.
