KS4 Headlines

  • Our Progress 8 score is +0.64 (well above average)
  • These results place us in the top 16% of secondary schools nationally
  • Our average grade is consistently 5+
  • 73% of students achieved a standard pass (grade 4 - equivalent to an old grade C) in English and Maths – 6% above the national average 
  • 57% of students achieved the grade 5 (or good pass) threshold in English and Maths 
  • 26% of all grades were 7 (grade A in old money) or above (above the national average) 

KS5 Headlines

  • Our overall average A Level grade is a B. This surpasses national and local authority averages which are usually grade Cs

  • 38% of students achieved at least AAB in at least 2 rigorous facilitating subjects (English, Maths, Sciences etc.) 

  • 44% of the A-Level grades achieved by our students were A or A* grades. This far exceeds the national average of 27% and the regional average of 23%.  

  • Across the Level 3 vocational qualifications, the final average grade was a Distinction.  

  • 65% of students achieved Distinction or above - the highest grades available 

Summer 2023 Data

KS5 data is currently unvalidated. Indications are that it will be formally validated in November 2023 and will be celebrated as another set of excellent examination results for Wolgarston.
