Applying for Sixth Form

Applications open following our Open Evening on Thursday 23rd November 2023.

How to apply

Each student must complete an application form with details of predicted grades and related course options. After submitting an application, each student will have an admissions meeting with a member of the Senior Team. We then send out conditional offers based on the student’s predicted grades and their related courses options at that time. Offers are subject to change in accordance with the actual results a student achieves.

Subject specific entry requirements

Subject	English Language or Literature	Maths	Requirements
Art & Design (single or double)			5 subjects passed at Grade 4 or higher
Biology	5	5	GCSE Combined Science Trilogy with one component at Grade 7 or higher, or, GCSE Biology at Grade 6 or higher
Business (single or double)	4	4	5 subjects passed at Grade 4 or higher
Chemistry		5	GCSE Combined Science Trilogy with one component at Grade 7 or higher, or, GCSE Chemistry at Grade 6 or higher
English Literature	6		5 subjects passed at Grade 4 or higher
French			GCSE French at Grade 7 or higher
Further Mathematics		8	Note: A-Level Mathematics must also be taken
Geography	5	5	GCSE Geography at Grade 5 or higher.
Health & Social Care (single)	4	4	5 subjects passed at Grade 4 or higher
History	5		GCSE History at Grade 5 or higher
Mathematics		7	GCSE Maths at Grade 7 or higher.
Media	5		5 subjects passed at Grade 4 or higher
Physics		6	GCSE Combined Science Trilogy with one component at Grade 7 or higher, or, GCSE Physics at Grade 6 or higher
Politics	5		GCSE Geography at Grade 5 or higher or, GCSE History at Grade 5 or higher
Psychology	5	5	A GCSE Science at Grade 5 or higher.
Sociology	5		5 subjects passed at Grade 4 or higher
Spanish			GCSE Spanish at Grade 7 or higher
Sport (single or double)	4	4	5 subjects passed at Grade 4 or higher
